Curtains can be hung in several different ways depending on the effect you are looking to create. To help you better understand the various options, we have created a detailed guide to help you choose your Drop effect.

Just off the Floor (Recommended)

The “Just off the floor” style gives you a beautiful looking curtain. When you select this option, your curtains will sit 10 millimetres off the floor. Your Sheer Curtain would ‘hover’ just above the floor. This option is great for high trafficked areas such as sliding doors. When your Sheer Curtains are sitting on the floor, it tends to collect dirt and moisture. With the most popular colours being white, the bottoms of your Sheer Curtains can get quite dirty, with the dirt stains creepy up the curtain and becoming quite visible.

By allowing your Sheer Curtains to sit 10 millimetres off the floor, we can avoid your curtains getting dirty from dirt and moisture. In addition, when your Sheer Curtains are off the floor, it makes cleaning your floors easier. It can also be practical if the furniture is going to be placed in front of the window.

Just on the floor (Just Touching)

The curtain just touches the floor for a completed look.

The drop effect, ”Just on the floor” also known as ”Just touching” allows your Sheer Curtain to sit just on the floor. This look suits a carpeted area or a low foot traffic area that stops your Sheer Curtain from getting dirty.

Puddled

The puddled drop effect allows for approximately 40 millimetres of fabric puddled onto the floor.  The Puddled effect can work well in a bedroom environment that offers a cleaner environment with no pets and little dirt.

Measuring Tips

When you measure for your Sheer Curtains, you must measure from the top of the track to the bottom of the floor. Please do not make any deductions, as we will make these deductions based on your desired Drop effect.
