1. Tools and Preparation:

• Accuracy is Vital: Always use a steel tape measurer to ensure accuracy. Make sure it’s straight and taut during measurements.
• Map Your Home: Start at the front door, turning left. This becomes ‘Window 1’. Continue clockwise around your home, labelling each window sequentially. If you have multiple levels, repeat the process upstairs. As you order, label each curtain with its corresponding room name.

2. Width Considerations:

For Rooms without Cornices:

• Determine the precise width of your ceiling by measuring from one wall directly to the opposite wall.
• Deduct 20 millimetres from the measurement for clearance. For instance, if the measurement from wall to wall is 3000mm, order the curtain width at 2980mm.

For Rooms with Cornices:

• Measure between the cornices.
• Deduct 20 millimetres from the measurement for clearance. For instance, if the measurement between the cornices is 2800mm, make the curtain width at 2780mm.

Note: Keep in mind that with larger cornices, there will be a more pronounced gap between your curtains and the window. Consider a wall Mount for such cases.

3. Measuring the Drop:

• Measure the height from the floor to the top of the ceiling in three places: left, centre, and right. If all three measurements are consistent (e.g., 2405mm), order the curtain drop at that length. We will make any deductions associated with the drop effect.
